We’re taking on new businesses — for the work that keeps them running.
Our new-client door is open for the monthly work your business runs on. Choose the rhythm, and your tax returns are part of the relationship.
Bookkeeping
Your books kept current all year — accurate, organized, and ready for analysis at any time.
…and your returns come with it.Payroll
Payroll run accurately and on time — wages, withholdings, and compliance handled for you.
…and your returns come with it.Sales tax
Sales tax collected, tracked, and filed on schedule — part of the rhythm, not a scramble.
…and your returns come with it.That includes your federal and state tax returns — personal ones, too. What we’re not taking on right now is tax returns on their own. We’d rather know your books all year than meet them in April.
See what we’d file for you.
Tell us what you run and what you’d hand over each month. We’ll open your docket — the returns we’d prepare and the rhythms we’d keep — and show you how joining actually works.
Step 1 — What do you run?
Step 2 — What should we keep for you, every month?
A map of the returns we prepare and the work we take on — your actual docket starts with a conversation.

Your corporation’s own return, in its own name.

Your S corporation’s return — filed by the company, flowing through to you.

The return for a trust or an estate.
Partnership return
Your partnership’s return — every partner’s share, reported.
Form 990
Your nonprofit’s annual information return — the one your donors and grantors read.

Books kept current all year — ready for analysis at any time.
Payroll
Payroll run accurately and on time, withholdings handled.
Sales tax
Sales tax filed as part of the rhythm.
The way in is a rhythm
Right now we’re bringing on new businesses for bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax — and their federal and state returns, personal ones included, come with it. Tax-only engagements are paused.
Nonprofits are not a side door here.
Most firms will file a 990 if you ask. Here, nonprofit accounting is a practice of its own — compliance, grant reporting, and the financial transparency your board, your donors, and your grantors depend on.
Arizona nonprofits whose Form 990s this firm prepared, in public IRS filing data for 2019–2024.
Our place among Arizona’s Form 990 preparers in that same public filing data.
Compliance
Returns and filings handled on schedule, by a team that files more of them than almost anyone in the state.
Grant reporting
Books kept in the shape grantors ask for — so reporting season reads from the records, not from memory.
Financial transparency
Statements your board can read and your donors can trust, prepared all year — not assembled at deadline.
Our preparer signature sits on public filings across Northern Arizona — including a Flagstaff public district’s monthly financials. And Johanna doesn’t only advise nonprofits: she sits on one’s board, as Director & Treasurer of the Three Trails Livestock Institute.
Flagstaff’s own, since I was two.
I grew up here, studied accounting at Northern Arizona University, and earned my CPA license in 2006. I’ve run this firm from the start — and I still believe the best accounting is personal: your books kept by people who know your name, your business, and your town.
Teaching is part of the practice. I give tax-and-finance presentations for local groups, speak with NAU accounting students, and teach a finance workshop for artists and nonprofits at the Coconino Center for the Arts. At home, I foster kittens until they find their forever homes — and on Sundays, I sing on my church’s worship team.
- Northern Arizona University — summa cum laude, 2002 My hometown university, in the town I grew up in.
- CPA, licensed since 2006 Two decades of returns, books, and planning behind every engagement.
- Owner since the firm’s start The name on the door is the person who answers for the work.
- A family firm, literally Married since 1999 — and my eldest works here while earning an Accountancy degree.
Sixteen people. One office.
When you call, a person who knows your file answers.
…and Johanna makes sixteen.
We’re hiring: a Senior Accountant, and interns for the 2027 tax season.

Books current monthly, payroll on time, sales tax on schedule — so tax season is a filing, not a rescue.
Asked often, answered straight.
Are you accepting new clients?
Yes — new businesses for bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax, with their federal and state tax returns (personal ones, too) included. We are not taking on tax returns on their own right now: we would rather know your books all year than meet them in April.
What returns do you prepare?
The full picture: individual returns (1040), corporation returns (1120), S corporation returns (1120S), fiduciary returns for trusts and estates (1041), partnership returns (1065), and nonprofit information returns (990) — prepared and reviewed by our team, and planned for year-round.
Do you work with nonprofits?
Nonprofits are a specialty here, not a side door. In public IRS filing data for 2019–2024, we prepared Form 990s for 74 Arizona nonprofits. Compliance, grant reporting, and financial transparency are the work — and Johanna serves as a nonprofit treasurer herself.
My books are behind. Can you still take us on?
Bookkeeping is the door that is open — and catching up is where bookkeeping starts. Bring us the books as they are; the first work is getting them current, and then keeping them that way.
Can you help us with QuickBooks?
Yes. We are a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor — setup, training, and ongoing support, whether you are starting fresh or getting more out of the file you already have.
Where are you, and when are you open?
You will find us at 2218 E Cedar Ave in Flagstaff. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8am–4pm — and clients reach their files anytime through the client portal.
We look forward to being part of your business.
You may know us as Johanna Klomann, CPA, PLLC — we’re Klomann Accounting LLC now. Same owner, same team, same office on Cedar Avenue.
